I posted a blog in April stating that I am back! However I did nothing for May. I have been busy working in my garden and providing activities for children who are out of school. This has not been an easy task, but some how i am managing. My thanks to God who always give me the strength and victory to overcome things that cause me to hinder.
I am on a journey here, but you know what its just what life is about. As we travel the road of uncertainty we are faced with so many road blocks, u-turns, dead ends, one ways, merges and detours. Never knowing how things will end up but praying and believing that God will bring some closure, clarity and wisdom into the situation.
I am more than an overcomer through Jesus Christ, so I am just riding out this journey in the passenger seat. I had to give up the drivers seat because I was going no where. Try it and see just how God can work it out for you.
Peace!

This is a new year and we are 23 days into it. I took a break in december and now I am back!
You can follow us here for more inspiration and news about our program and what we have to offer you. I stop making resolutions some time ago. Do they really work no! The best thing to do is to start off small with goals that you know you can accomplish. It is God who gives us the will to do so consult with the father before you make any moves this year. We have to stop doing what we always done expecting different results.
Take time pray and give thanks to God who will make all things possible and sustain you to get to that place that you need to be. Don't be anxious for nothing because God knows and he cares for you. Don't sweat the small stuff or even small minded people. They need more exposure you are better than that.
Take time out for you as I said before saying No! gets easier when you are focus on what you need to be doing and not worrying about what people say you should be doing. Rest often your mind and body needs it.
Honor those who have helped you in your life and let them know you are happy that they are in your life. This helps you to remain humbled. Humility is something we all could use. God does not like a prideful person or a proud look.
Love others and don't forget to love yourself, you are the only you that you have so now you have a few pointers to begin your new year. Let me know how things are going remember we are waiting for you to reply.
Until next month may God continue to keep you and yours!

This post is entitled Thanksgiving because the month of November started yesterday and in it we celebrate Thanksgiving. A lot of organizations and well wishers are aligning themselves to give to others in need. During this season you will find a vast number of people looking to give in the abundance: food, clothing, etc. My question to you is why? I am sure you would immediately say why not?
Let me qualify my statement by stating this fact! If you tried to count the number of people in this country alone who are hungry and without you would be surprise as to the numbers. We spend a lot of time and effort to be charitable during the holidays but forget these same people who day by day pray to God that things get better for them.
You may be asking how do I know that? That's easy weekly I see the faces of those in my community who are struggling to make ends meet. Its not just those who are poor and marginalized, more and more I am seeing an increase of people who are considered middle class too. A lot of them have no ideal how to navigate through a system of what is traditionally set up for lower income people.
This begs the question, what are we doing wrong? We are all too familiar with the Bible stating that: "We should love our neighbors", "Do unto others has you have them to do until you", "Bear one another's burden", "Give and it shall be given unto you..." So why do we choose to use one or two months to do these things.
We have the solution to solve world hunger, yet we refuse to do it? Why? My answer to you would be why not? We can start by giving to others daily not just two times a year. Give others your time and service and give back some of those things you brought. Lord knows you will never use them. I know it seemed like a good ideal when you purchased them. I have a few white elephants myself that I will be sharing with others who can use them.
I challenge you to do the good you know and let God do the rest. If you can't think of someone in need or just don't know how to get it to them; give these things to your church, hospital, TVC, and many other agencies to many to name.
During this Thanksgiving season I also want to challenge you to think about your relationship with Christ. What are you most thankful for and has God done anything for you that you would like to share with others? As you reflect on yourself don't forget to think of others and give the gift of Christ to others that you know. Invite them to feast with Christ for they will never be hungry or thirsty again.
Peace and blessings to all in Christ,
El

Sometimes life is like a snow ball rolling down a hill. It begins to gain momentum and things get lost or becomes over bearing. Have you ever had a problem or situation that every time you get out of one thing something else pops up?
Such is life things don't go as smoothly as we wish but they some how work out! Life would be boring if we did not have a variety of events/things that happens to us. By the same token God takes all of our vicissitudes and turn them in to something spectacular!!! How Great is our God!
Don't worry about what has/has not happened thus far, are right in the midst of where you need to be. Stop looking backward and get some forward thinking going on. Take the next step and move to the next level of your anointing, ministry, or life.
Things are not as bad as they seem if you are looking through the lens of the "Be Not World" i.e. spiritual world. We are finite beings, but our God is infinite and can transcend time, space and eternity. If you lay aside every weight and sin that is hindering you, things would go a little better.
Have faith trust God and watch him do it! Believe it you are a prayer away from your blessing!!
Love you,
Elnora

Read Galatians 4:4-7
Psalm 70
Make haste, O God, to deliver me! O Lord, make haste to help me! (Psalm 70:1)
To Your Rescue
There is nothing in all of creation quite like hearing a child in need, especially when that child is your own child. We do not hesitate, but we quickly get in motion to rescue our beloved. Delay might mean death.
We are the Lord's dear children, born of faith by the Holy Spirit. He loves us even as He loves His own Son, Jesus Christ. He has loved us since before the foundation of the world, even marking every hair on our head. Yet we have not been the best of children.
We have turned away. We have been deliquent. We have not loved Him or our brothers and sisters as we ought. Our lot would have been eternal death. Yet the Lord has seen our wretched state. He has seen our need, and he has come quickly to our rescue. He has not delayed, but at the appointed time, He sent His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, born of a woman. Jesus humbled himself to be born of a virgin's womb, to take up our sins, and to die for the sins of the world on the cross. Because of His great love for you, nothing could stop Him from saving you, His own dear child! (Author Unknown)
So don't be discouraged God will come to your rescue. It may look like you are going under and things will not work out! But I declare and decree unto you that our God if faithful. And He who has promised is well able to deliver you. Tell that bald head devil to shut up and that you are not afraid. Slap your neighbor and tell them that this too shall past. Even in our darkest hour God is there! Be encouraged and God will strengthen you heart. Talk to you soon!!!
Love you,
El

Today is August 03, 2009 and the summer is just about to end. Soon it will be back to school time for some in a few weeks; while others next month. I hope that you all had a great time so far with family, and friends. Did you get a chance to take that much needed break and go away? Did you stay home and relax? Whatever you did or plan to do before September put God first, enjoy your family and friends and just take some you time! I have a great Open House planned for you all next month on September 12, 2009 from 12pm to 6pm. You don't want to miss it. We will spend the day honoring you our friends, family and well wishers.
So if you did not partake in any of the activities above put this on your calendar. I challenge you to sign up, rsvp or just come. This summer I had a few activities on the burner such as my family took a trip to VA Beach, Kings Dominion, Library, Museums and various other activities. We are planning one last activity before the end of August. We are looking forward to the Fall and expecting great opportunities that God has in store for us.
It would be good to hear from some of you about your thoughts on this blog and the website. What about the prayers? Have you taken the opportunity to read some of them? Maybe you have a thought, a prayer, words of wisdom, comfort that you would like to share with those who view this website. You never know the impact that you would have. Someone may be reading this and would like more information or answers.
I challenge you to journal, or write down your thoughts and prayers and as you do don't be ashamed to share it with others. I almost forgot one other special event that occurred this summer. I started a container garden with flowers and vegetables. I was so amazed at the beautiful results not to mention the fresh vegetables. I used them to cook with and eat after picking and washing. I started a little late but still I had a great harvest. Last year we had a ground hog that ate every thing I put in the ground. That was the reason that I waited to plant. I wanted to see if he was still around. LOL
Take a look at this picture so what do you think?
If you saw how large these plants have grown you would be amazed! This was taken sometime around June.
So don't forget two things:
1. Summers End is on its way do something fantastic before it ends!
2. Open House September 12, 2009 look on calendar for more info!!
Love you,
El

Hebrews 11 states "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen". Do you have any hope today? Day by day by day some of us continue to do things or believe for things that we "hope" will happen or take place. Why?
Do you not know that God has given you freely every thing according to life and godliness. You have the ability to live a victorious life. Stop waiting and looking around at others siege the moment and grab what God has for you now!
As you go forth in what ever it is you desire God will sustain you and give you what you need. Activate your faith, trust in the Holy Spirit that God has placed inside of you. Stir up your gifts and go before God in prayer for guidance.
Your best days are not behind you, your best days are in front of you. We are in a season of miracles. Signs and wonders are every where. There is something you must do and that is to seek God first. Maybe you think that this step is not necessary. I beg to differ what I have experienced in my life have shown me that I could had made it to this place a long time ago. The path that I took ultimately led me here and it made it a much richer experience and sense of humbleness. But what if I just had humbled myself in the beginning? Most of my heartaches and sidetracks could have been avoided.
I thank God for this opportunity to share with his people the message of Hope, Healing and Help. My experiences have taught me that their is "Hope". We have a God who cares and loves us. He gives us what we need when we need it. He uses people like us to help us to grow up and to know more about his love. If it had not been for that person who challenged you, annoyed you, prayed for you, love you and showed you that they care. Where do you think you would be today!
My hope for you today is that you tap into the gifts and talents that God has given you use them for his glory. If you like wisdom and understanding ask for it and God will make it plain. The body of Christ needs you and someone is waiting and depending on you to use your gifts. Get into Gods word and in a Church where you will have the opportunity to help others while helping yourself grow stronger in the Lord.
I trust that you have received my gift to you today in Love!!

I choose this title because of all of the recent events that have taken place within the last few weeks. We experienced the lost of several high profile stars if you will and most notably Michael Jackson and Steve McNair.
There were many others but I choose these two names because of their impact on today's youth and society as a whole. I would first like to extend my condolences to the families of these two individuals. So much has been said about what they did or didn't do and the impact of their deaths have created a riff in our society.
I can't help but wonder where they were with Christ? So much talk and conversation has been extended as to where or how they died and to what extend or circumstances took place surrounding it. I keep looking and listening to some of the commentaries hoping to catch one glimpse of their relationship with the king of Glory?
It saddens me to think that all of their doings were in vain when it comes to the kingdom. Just hearing about all the people they impacted one of them internationally, yet they never confessed God or used their influence to bring others to Christ. What a pity and a waste of influence, gifts and talents. Lets face it the "reality" of it all is that we are not our own. God purchased us and redeemed us and we are indebted to him.
I am not trying to past judgement on either of them I just want us to be aware of what we have to do. Giving yourself back to Christ in service is something that we all can do. Start looking around in your neighborhood and families and communities for people in need. If you can do something, have something or organize something to meet their need why not do it?
The least you do until others, you will do until God. Imagine the impact you can make, the need you can meet and the smile on your brother or sister's face. Don't wait too late the reality is time does not wait! Do the good you know how to do today. Someone is waiting and needs you!
Thank you for giving to those in need,
El
